Ticking off my bucket list part 1

I've always dreamt of far away places to visit but never thought I would actually get there....until now.
We booked to go to Dubai and than fly onto the Maldives for 7 nights, oh how I wish it was for longer. Don't get me wrong I did like Dubai its an amazing place, everything is big, brash and very expensive. It really is a totally different experience. Every other car is either a Ferrari, lamborghini or a Bentley, its definately a mans world. The people are lovely and its absolutely spotless. We went up the Burj Kalifa WOW! and also went to the aquarium at the Atlantis on the Palm another WOW. The shopping mall in Dubai is sooooo big, it has everything from our normal high street shops to high end designer. It has just about everything you could ask for including its own ice rink, zoo and massive waterfall. Lets not forget the beach and the clear blue water, just what you need to cool off in the blazing heat.
The evenings we spent eating out and going for cocktails (my favourite) I would highly reccommend the roof top bar on top of the Hilton on the walk, its truly amazing with awesome views of Dubai and its landmarks.
